I worked at David Lloyds Leisure as an Expert Trainer for a number of years prior to setting up my own fitness consultancy in 2005- Ethos Health and Fitness Ltd. Newcastle Kettlebell Club is part of my business. ETHOS is a Greek word meaning 'a way of life' and I believe this is how people should consider their health and exercise status. Our company slogan Enjoyment Through Helping Others Succeed sums up how we work. Our clients quickly become friends and we have numerous who have remained with us for 4 or more years. I am a fitness consultant to Age Concern North East and strong advocate of childrens exercise. Currently I am working on projects to tackle falls in the elderly and childhood obesity. I studied and certified the Zone nutrition program and was certified in 2008 by Dr Barry Sears himself. There are many PTs relaying Zone nutriton without the releveant certification so beware! I have studied Stroke Rehabilitation techniques under Dr Thomas Balchin of ARNI. At the other end of the spectrum I am a Performance Enhancement Specialist and have worked with professional football and rugby players. I am the leading kettlebell specialist in the Region:the only Russian Kettlebell Certified instructor under world famous Pavel Tsatsouline; the 1st International Kettlebell & Fitness Federation Coach under Steve Cotter and Ken Blackburn; trained & certified by Andrea DuCane - The Kettlebell Goddess; a national coach with and North East Rep for the British Kettlebell Lifting Federation. I am a leading weight control professional. I don't believe in 'dieting' - this is a marketing word. Diet simply refers to what you eat and should not signify drastic calorie restriction nor the cutting of any food group. I will show you how to control your weight by achieving hormonal balance through food. You will learn how different foods cause differnet hormonal response. You will learn how even 'bad' foods are allowed and how to allow for them!
