Nordic Walking puts spring into your step, according to INWA British Nordic Walk Instructor Sue Burnett. In the cold dark months Sue raised the profile of Nordic Walking Peterborough Cambridgeshire where several Nordic Walking would be's decided to try out this fun, friendly activity.
At the same time the mail on Sunday drew attention to Nordic Walking as a way to create a "pert derrier" amongst other very postive benefits of this fun and fabulous activity developed by Finnish cross-country skiiers in the late 1930s. It is low on impact, kind to the joints, easy on the neck, shoulder, improves posture and increases spinal rotation amongst other things. It's easy to learn and lots of fun many students comment on how quickly the time files by in the Nordic Walking class one lady said that her Pilates class wasn't this much fun and often wished the Pilates class would hurry up an end.
Now that spring has sprung, Peterborough people have begun to realise it is great to get out in the fresh air and connect with nature through Nordic Walking. How amazing to do an exercise that doesn't feel like doing exercise and feeling other parts of the body working better that haven't worked before. Up to 90% of the body is used during the activity once mastered. Nordic Walking is a full body workout and unlike other activities such as running or walking it uses both the upper and lower body and can burn up to 46% more calories for the weight conscious. Technique is developed step by step, week by week using the expert tution of a highly qualified instructor. So learning something new can be fun and the fear factor is removed by Sue's friendly approach and style. Whether you are looking to step in to spring with a new activity, burn more calories or put a spring back into your step by increasing your well-being. Nordic Walking may have something that is right for you. To find out more about this great activity visit her blog and website for further updates.
